Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Tuned! dyno charts and graphs inside! 244 hp?!?!?!?

So, after much waiting and wanting to be able to really drive my car like it deserves to be driven, i got my tune done today at RTC. We encountered some issues of high boost(16 psi) which ended up being caused by the air intake tube choking the vacuum line that goes to the wastegate actuator and in essence being a boost controller by choking the line. That was straightened out, a 2 bar map sensor was installed, and tuning was done.
A/F is pretty safe, and never really drops below about 11.4, so it could still be leaned out a little and some more power could be squeezed out.

12 psi at about 5400 which drops down to about 11 psi at 6400 rpm with the rev limiter set at 7000 rpms.
This was done on a dynodynamics dyno which reads about 13% lower than a dynojet, so the estimated sae corrected numbers are 244 hp@6000 rpms and 239 ft/lb tq@5300 rpms. The dyno itself read a max of 216 hp and 207 tq as well, but as corrected, it is the 244/239(i like the bigger numbers)

    here are some more pics

here is a video of one pull(it was loud as hades in there) which was at 209.1 hp, so it was not the final pull, but you get the idea.

overall, im pretty happy with the numbers and as soon as i get a set of 15's and slicks, ill take it to the track and beat on it. Until then, ill get some in car videos as time dictates that being possible.

so far as corrected sae numbers go yes, although the number seen on the graph is not corrected. either way, im happy with it and it now pulls like crazy, and spins the tires in 1st and 2nd with ease.
        and thanks guys.

          very nice.

the SAE numbers are the ones you want to go by. They set the standard for how much a "horsepower" should be, hence you can compare numbers no matter what dyno you are on.

If i remember correctly my dynojet "raw" numbers were somewhere around 220whp/240wtq, but the SAE was 195/215

Freaking sweet. I think I could have some serious fun with 100 more HP and 100 more lb/ft of torque.

as for setup, check out my members ride thread, which you can click to in my sig.
stock internals is a yes, and I really only have to drive this car another 2 months or so before i leave for training this summer, so its going to get some driving time in on it for the said period for certain.

I swear to God I posted a response here.

I guess I really am going crazy.

                            Anyway, SIMPLY AWESOME!

I like how it doesn't sound overtly turbocharged. That probably catches a lot of people by surprise.

Unless, you exhaust just drowns it out!
