Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

DSM Turbo Manifold on an H22?

I'm not a fan of the whole junkyard turbo configuration but this just came to mind. It does work on the F22Ax and JDM F22B DOHC non-Vtec but how about the H22A? Anyone ever look into it?

I was going to hit the junkyards this weekend and see if I can hunt one down. I've got a T25 off an Eclipse just sitting at home so it got me wondering on the manifold.

Anyone with experiance here I'm looking for enlightenment

but since the f22a's pattern is slightly different, i didn't think it would work...even on the f22a's you have to mod it a little bit so the holes line up i think....the port location/pattern is the same, but the h is different.....i'm sure you could find a used h22a turbo manifold for not too much.....you're like me....junkyarding is just fun
I just love it when you get garbage from the junkyard and make it work again.

How different is the H's exhaust ports then the F's? I know you can use the H23A's exhaust manifold on an F22A1/4/6 so then the difference must be between the H22A and H23A?

      quick question...

is there any advantage to installing a H23 header onto an F22Ax engine?

sorry, but ya had me thinking for my F22A1 buildup

yea it wont work the f22a1/4/6 and h23 and jdm f22b port are like oooo but h22 is o oo o. so the ports dont match with the dsm's. and yea for putting the manifold on the f series you only need to redrill the bolt holes, the ports line right up.

          That's what I've heard about the 0 0 0 0 and 0 00 0 port configurations. The F22B1 is really 0 00 0 but the H22A doesn't look like cylinder 2 and 3 are that close together but maybe they are. They look more 0 0 0 0 to me.

The collectors are larger so people doing allot of head work and intake work for example a large nitrous shot engine would benefit from the larger collectors but on an engine with no real work will actually end up hurting the power band.
