Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Good deal! They have great service and helped me with my questions and included the gasket kit I needed. Not to mention the 1 year warranty!

ya, solid choice. And like i said, with any decent FMIC, the efficiency difference will be negligable (72 to 74 or something in our range).

And it's totally capable for the 14b to make 230whp. AccordR33 made 197 with a STOCK exhaust.
Any exhaust upgrade and decent tune could get you another 30hp.
The Stock o2 housing is a restriction...tubular output is better. And any free flowing exhaust will help too. As long as the intercooler isn't tiny (tiny like a stock DSM one), then you'll be fine.
I'd put the limit of that turbo at around 240 wheel though at our 8-9psi limit for stock blocks. Hits chocking otherwise. ON the DSM 2L they can make 260 wheel, but that's at like 18+psi...it's a bit more efficient up there.

For anyone going with a stock setup, i think the 14b is the choice to go with...a nice reliably tuned 210-220whp is perfect, and nicely spooling.

I find it funny when people say, "man it doesn't pull up top", but they forget our stock motors don't pull up top. The turbo adds symetrical power to our Volumetric efficiency and the power curve will remain the same.

          Just my 2 cents.

Oh, and intercooler sizing is overrated.
on my 16g i run 2" piping...i did however see a 2psi pressure drop off the entire system...so to account i take the wastegate signal off the TB to hold a steady 9psi (it just makes the turbo work 'slightly' harder...but it's almost more efficient in the higher pressure ratios anyways)...so don't fret on piping size. I'd say 2.25" would be ideal though. 2.5" is overkill unless you're pushing 350+whp

Well shit if 14b's are making 230whp i must definately be over the 250+whp range on my 16g..i have a full 3" exhaust....i also have the a6 motor which puts out a bit more hp. So i guess im wrong h22sparkle..i still think id have the upper hand if your running a 14b f22.

And about pulling up top..my 16g pulls right to 6200. Not as strong as mid range..but still nicely.

Save your money and be prepared to lose it. Anyway like I was saying imma push that turbo to its limits. And my boy nick with his eclipse is runnin 300whp on his 14b and outran an evo that had 250whp. I have a paper its in my documents I can try to get that shit tommorrow but i dont know how im gonna post it up on cb7tuner without a scanner.

I cant wait as a matter of fact when you take it to the track imma be ready and i want everyone on cb7tuner to witness that shit. You may think you have the upper hand but by then before you even realize your in boost ill be 3 cars ahead of you. Your prelude is heavy, boost works better in our cars. Boost will serve your car no purpose as far as it being in a lude. Pennsylvania sorry your barking up the wrong tree now imma fall on you. Back to topic and keep my name out your mouth.

ludes are not that much heavier, at least not enough to make even half a second difference.

anyways, good luck on your setup. get er tooned.

I hope you can make it to the Washington spring meet.

Trust me they suck. The only good thing about them is the motor well if that. Imma get both my cars tuned up ones gonna push for more power though the other well is gonna be more refine tuned.

so the motors suck? dont they come with the almighty h22? they also come with the f22a1, which is what your other one has. in saying the motors suck, you're saying your motors suck.

either way, he has the f22a6, which is better than your a1, he also has a better turbo.

anyways, westside, who is gona tune you?

umm, I wouldnt know what he uses.

I do know he USED to use the atmel 29c....chips. but those are discontinued.

but these chips are just as good. Just remember, if you have a willems burner, you will have to reset the little switches differently than what you had them at for the atmel chips.

if you have the moates, just select the chip type and you're good to go.

                                Back From The Dead!!!

I finally got a m'n'f'n evo3 16g turbo and its so sweet, it is used, but it was local so no shipping. 400 bones! no shaftplay and pretty clean on all round.

Well thats the beggining of my newest turbo cb7 buildup,
on order are wiseco 85.5 forged pistons, with wiseco rings
billet crower rods with wrist pins and locks, said to boost-able to 30psi!
that set me back 1200+ so far from raceeng.com but they are easy to deal with, and have all of what I need!
I also recently bought a 2g dsm manifold, still has yet to be redrilled. paid 40 bux for.

On deck to be ordered as paycheques roll in,
new ebay black 2.5inch IC piping,
tubular O2 housing, with atmospheric dump,
                                bearings, seals, gaskets...
                                3" exhaust work,
                                egt probe/sensor
manifold is already bunged for it!
                                Custom knock sensor,
headwork is gonna be done by my brother in Nanaimo, BC.
he said hes gonna do 5 angle valve job, shim the springs a bit for 6500 or so redline, port and polish, etc.
Also need anodized a/n fittings and ss feed line.

I kinda want to relocate my oil filter, battery to the trunk and heat wrap all engine bay intake/exhaust/charge piping!
I promise more pics to come!!!

                                WaC!
