Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Cyl. 1- 25
    Cyl. 2- 75
    Cyl. 3- 70
    Cyl. 4- 60

So that means that cyl. 2,3 and 4 are ok because there withing 10-20% of each other right

L8r all, thought some of you would like to know (Or have a good laugh at) the results.

I don't think it was a boost spike, I've had a few, and the motor surprisingly took them very well. I had one spike (My vaccuum line fitting backed out of the wastegate somehow) and hit over 20 psi (My guage only goes to 20, so who really knows). I know my wastegate was open on this run, and I glanced over while in 3rd gear and it was at 9psi, so I'm don't think there was any kind of spike.

Before I did the test I figured ringlands for sure, but now I'm thinking the head may have lifted. The odds of wiping out all 4 pistons, or having the headgasket go in a bunch of different places is slim to none.

I ordered new head studs today (ARP) and will be taking the head off to see what it all looks like, and if that the case, and it can be fixed, I may be up and running within a few weeks.

Honestly though, I doubt I'd be that lucky.

i was gonna say... you dont usually see that low of compression on all 4 cylinders like that... my only guess is the head as well... if that was the case wouldnt you have blown h/g symptoms in the crank case from coolant-oil contact? either way, hope it ends up being an easy fix man... dont you have that spare h23 you started cleaning sitting around by the way?

I couldn't find any oil/coolant mixture in either the pan or radiator, but I also shut the engine down very quickly, so it didn't have much time to mix.

And the spare h23 is my build motor, which has atleast two months left, if not more before completion. If mine truly is crap, then the car will simply be parked until Feb/March.

Either way, the arp headstuds will get used, so I figured I might as well order them up.

This is a spare head that I've been working on for a while. I'm actualy going out right now to work on my car. I may get the head off today, not sure yet.
I'll try and post up tonight if find anything. L8r

                          Well....

                          Cyl. 1-Melted
                          Cyl. 2-Not sure, cracked ringlands?
                          Cyl. 3-Not sure, cracked ringlands?
                          Cyl. 4-Melted
                          Headgasket-Just fine

Cyl. 1 is pretty bad, and 4 is barely noticeable.

My guess is that when cylinder 2 and 3 were compressed from both sides the ringlands cracked.

                          Let the parts ordering commence.

I forgot my camera so no pics, but its nothing great to look at, just some out of round pistons.
