Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Finaly boosting

    well yesterday i finaly bought a turbo kit for my accord

    16g brand new
    header style manifold
    bov
    intercooler
    450cc injectors
    and some pieces of charge pipe, along with all the bolts for the turbo



    so far i havnt goten the intercooler and injectors yet, gonna go get them tonight

    so what do ya guys think of turbo'ing a 250k mile motor

        yeah i wasnt really sure, i mean i know its just a manifold but it flows better then the cast thing and its way lighter, ok i suppose i sound like an idiot, oops

              not trying to tear apart your setup. but thats DEFINITELY a knock off BOV, which leads me to believe the turbo is a Chinese knockoff as well...I hope you didnt pay too much for that stuff

                manifold is a pace setter, no i didnt pay much for whole kit, now i need ecu, well then tuning as far as i read

                  definitely a knockoff...please be careful with that turbo!

                  its hit or miss with them. some people have bad experiences with them, and some have REALLY bad experiences

                      search ss auto chrome on this site, actually. just go to the FI section and look at the stickies.

                      it is hit or miss with those chinese turbos.

                      those welds look nasty. almost like good flux core welding, lol.

                      i also bet that "ceramic paint" is gona peel right off after a few heat cycles.

                          see that label, that reads:

                          TURBOCHARGER
                          TYPE: DSM EVOIII

                          thats a sure sign its not a genuine Mitsubishi turbo. Not only do they not have anything like that, but they wouldn't write "DSM EVOIII" on it. nor does it say TDO5H on it

                          i dont mean to scare you, im sure it will be fine, but keep a close eye on it.

                            id be more worried about that mani. id weld a support bracket from the head flange to the outlet flange.
