Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

how much horse power do you think?

how much horse powe do you think ill be pushing with my turbo H23?? i know no one can say for sure because every car is different but i did the math and it seems a little too high.

160HP on 9PSI in an ideal frictionless world would yeld a 63% (14.1 / 9 ) increase...in the realworld i guess you could probably get at least 53% out of it which would give me around 245 (244.8) to be exact...but this seems way to high, what do you guys think?

actually that seems about right but what kind of sleeves does the h23 have? If its the frm sleeves u might wanna estimate that power at like 6-7psi. Anyways with a lean a/f ratio yea u could definately hit those numbers seeing as the average f22b1 at 12 psi hits 275+ to the wheels.

thats cool. to tell you the truth i could care less about the power, i just want something to back up my "show" with a little "go" and turbo seems like the best thing for that. of course i still wanna be safe though. i have no idea if the H23 is open or closed deck...anyone know?

I'd say 210-225 whp. I've seen H23's on 8psi put down 209whp. Which if you think about it, Isn't all that bad.

Yeah true just make sure its tuned. Those h23's can take amount of boost though. Thats why im gonna boost and soon. and when ive gotten some pocketchange left im gonna resleeve it change the pistons and rods and just call it a day.

Hey accordr33, the guy that i'm getting my manifold from has a boosted h23 that he's dynoed at 220 whp, and i think he had a t3/t4 turbo. that should give you a ballpark range.
