Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I dont know if it helps, but when i test fitted my HUGE front mount, i fabbed up an aluminum bracked and basically hung it from the hood latch behind the grill, and that held it very well.

i thought about coat hanger wire...couple with some L-brackets cause I don't think the brackets, by themselves, can handle some of the potholes and bumps around here...

i'm gonna pull my car apart next week and see...i was thinking doing the initial mounting with the L brackets and using the coat hanger wiring to reinforce on the ends (inlet/outlet)...i'm trying to elminate buying more misc. items to get off the ground...i wasn't thinking when i bought zinc bolts, nuts and washers for the exhaust mani and realized that wouldn't do so i'm going to napa tomorrow to get some hardened/tempered steel mani bolts, etc...and i should be ready to start bolting everything up....thanks, guys.

might be a good idea to bolt it down as well, ppl do steal intercoolers.

You know whats funny also my intercooler is pressed up against my bumper by the time you even try to pull to pull it off. The problem solver will be at that same persons dome.Only people whop bolt them down are the ones with their intercoolers being too small or worried about them falling out. Trust me if your worried about people stealing intercoolers you got a problem. They tend to take the whole car.
