From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Well some turbo setups can be "built" or pieced together (Antoine's setup comes to mind) but a good deal of knowledge about boost and what your looking for/at is required.

As Ricky stated, the best idea is to search, read, search, read and read more. Then start from there

Do a lot of research. But let me tell you. unless you get everything from a junk yard and piping thats laying around you'll end up spending more than just buying a kit. Your best bet is to get to know a shop owner... become best friends and then have him build you one cheap. Kinda like my whole car.

I don't have access to that car. If I did I could fab up something that would work perfectly. Without the car tho, its hard to ensure any clearance...you would need to do this yourself.

you can run dsm injecters you can get them for around $50 but since a legend is a v6 maybe try and find a 3000gt or buy two sets or dsm 450s. Its cheap if your not a total tard and can learn how to fabricate.

I can fabricate but all the time and effort I'd just as soon as buy a kit. Maybe its cause I have money to waste or maybe cause everything is below or right at whole sell. With all the parts at the shop it cost about 1500 hundred or so to fab up a kit for a d16. Kits go for around 1100 and make the same power. maybe I'm looking at all the wrong places.

It shouldn't be too much to make. Use the stock headers and run a pipe to the turbo from the collector, tap your oil pan and get all the necessary piping. If you know what you're doing and where to get parts for cheap it shouldn't cost more than $1k...the real $$$$/fun comes in TUNING IT. But seriously, a turbo install is no more difficult than a little exhaust fabbing and tapping the oil pan...everything else is a bolt on affair. A turbo install that won't blow up or leak is a whole different story...

what kit cost $1100 to turbo a d16, I've never seen one that cheap and I work at a performance shop too. Oh wait are you talking about ssautoshit? A guy on hmt just boosted his car for under $250, I could buy a kit too but I enjoy saying that I made it and just did'nt bolt it on, plus you learn alot more. What kind of fuel management do those $1100 kits include? I could care less if my car has a name brand on it, all that matters is that I win at the end of the track
