Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    GSX Downpipe?

ok guys, time has come to be thinking bout a downpipe. Looks like it might be a 2nd gen aftermarket dp made of 3" stainless steal from ebay. check it out....

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

I know, I know....most of you will probbly say: "Eww, egay!" but I'm cheap right now and really need something I can use since i'll be without a job this winter. So far, if i get this, I'll have to mod my car a little bit to make this fit...

So should I get it and make it work? Anybody with personal experience would like to give some imput? Btw, AcclipseH23 gave me this idea and said it works well, but I'm nervious...

Ive seen h23aclipses word up personal. If theres anyone who id let touch or work on my car is him and rarely i let anyone work on my car. His work is nothing less than spectacular. We need more people liek that in the import industry,cb7tuner world or for any other honda period point blank. for him.

I've asked about this a long time ago, and someone told me it wouldn't work at all. What is necessary to make this work? I would try to find someone else to buy it from besides the autosquare person you linked to. That guy is a total dick.. he sent me a broke ass part, wouldn't return my money, and left me negative feedback.

Didn't try hard enough... . GSX pipes only. Turbo must be mounted on the right. And Megan DP. I can't say anything else will work exact. Also some light massaging of oil pan is necessary.

Also you need to notch the crossmember....Otherwise no dice...

its been done and installed for over a year and a half. Just had the DSM downpipe cut and custom fitted to the rest of my exhaust .When i redo my exhaust ill probably look into this 2nd gen GSX downpipe though

Did you do this yourself? Any advice on what tools to use or stuff to look out for? I'm really interested...

A creative mind, a grinder and a sawzall, and a bodyshop hammer for the oil pan. Some heat wrap wouldn't hurt.

P.S. its a bitch. You also should get an exhaust hanger and get it welded so the pipe i suspended properly.

Pics coming up, my cousin is giving me the digi cam either today or tommorrow.

I know for most 2.5" downpipes you don't need to notch the crossmember, but would you need to with the gsx one if you got that size?
