Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Did you alter your powerband with a cam gear or something? I got mine and threw the power into the midrange... You are much better off there...I never passed 7k on my engine yet.

It don't look like thats the case anymore...How much power can you have up there if it tore up your engine? Greed got you. Over-reving by almost a full 1k in rpms is living dangerously. Especially on these engines which are famous for throwing rods. If you got another car and the downtime does not bother you then thats great. Otherwise being greedy with no cash will always ASS YOU OUT.

ok so on top of tuning my car, the turbo h22, to make the trip even more worth while tune my best friend's cars sr20det g20 with emange and gt40 turbo maxima with emanage. sr20det g20 is at 194 whp now on stock block and i htink it runs pretty crappy now so he wants a tune. maxima is not done yet but just might be by that time.

well grats on getting the motor back. However, as one guy said, I wouldn't be that greedy. Shift your powerband lower so you can have your power in a safer environment. Reving 1k past redline to me is living a little too crazy (unless you have lots of $$ and a backup ride). However, as for me, that's not the case. My Daliy Driver is my only ride, so I can't afford to spin a rod bearing.

Anyways, good luck keeping the motor running =)
