Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Bigger radiator

Hey im thinking of getting a bigger radiator does anyone know of any. I need a thicker core but almost stock in size as far as height and width.

Koyo makes one. I think that's what I will end up getting when I upgrade. I'm not sure about the sizes on them though. I've seen some of them on ebay.

Fluidyne makes em too. I think C&R might make one for our application but not quite sure.

only KOYO makes one that will fit our cb7 chassis. the fluidyne is made for the 5th gens although a little modding will help it fit too.

sparkle, i'm running the koyo race radiator(check the sig).. dual core, about 1/2 thicker than stock but a direct fit. comes fully-mirrored polished and costs about $300 shipped from

        www.radiator.com

and it comes with a lifetime warranty

        *edit: here's a close-up pic*

www.radiators.com >> Koyo makes an OEM-style and Race radiator. The OEM-style has dimensions like stock and is good quality. However, the Race radiator is like 1" thicker than stock and has larger core, is supposedly rated to be 30% more efficient than stock.

Note: This does not refer to the "race" Koyo radiator that PrimoCB7 installed.

I know the Koyos fit like stock because my dad just bought two and I JUST finished installing the second one tonight. They are universal and fit both automatics and manuals. If you have automatic, you have to connect the two tranny cooler lines. If you're manual, don't connect the tranny cooler lines (they are like one-way valves, no need to worry). They are good quality and I had no issues. Stock fans bolt right up to it. They come with new pet-cocks with new O-ring on it. They do NOT come with radiator caps, so you will have to transfer thoses. Be careful not to damage the fins on install, they're delicate.

The accords I installed them in were a 90 EX 5spd and 93 LX auto.

just wonderin why do you what a thicker one but stock in height and width do you deal with mad heat or what cuz i know lots of people using civic dual core or tri cores and they have no probs plus you get more space for crazy header or exhaust manifold just a thought its not too hard to mod them to fit we put one on a friends prelude (5th gen) not too long ago and no probs with 450 whp (high boost) daily drivin with 350 whp (low boost) and we have not encountered any probs.

i know about the civic radiators fitting and all.. and thats cool. but i wanted the KOYO for several reasons:

-OEM fitment w/o any mods or fabrications
              -showcar look, finish, and quality
              -and it does the job.

Damn didnt know. I thought I saw a Fluidyne for a 90-93 Accord in one of those catalog things or maybe I was just trippin that day that was a while back. I was thinkin bout upgrading my cooling system also. My old radiators fins are all messed up so thinkin bout just goin aftermarket.
