Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

not if u have the regular chip, then a back up chip. u can mess around with the back up chip, so u can learn how to use it, and then when ur done, just put back the chip that it came with. u can undo anything u did with ur uberdata

it can be permanent if you run your car with the chip and you lean it too much under load, or advance timing and detonate. Uberdata is not that hard at all to tune, when you have a basemap. Honestly, Midnite should start a donation program for all the basemaps he's provided and help work on. My car would not be where it is if it wasn't for him, eric, and iamanonymous. He's given the whole cb7tuner community something, and everyone takes if for granted. New people come in here and demand a basemap, and they get it for free. No respect anymore.

or if you dont want to do it your self take it to dyno, and get someone there to dyno tune it using uber or crome.

then you'll have no choice but to tune it yourself or find someone that can.

read uberdatas threads on there forum. and play aroud with the program, and look at other ppls maps to get a idea of how it all works.

its really not that hard to use and really quite simple to use/ safe. it just takes time to learn it all. i still don't have it all figured out.

if you get a wideband and a good egt gauege you pretty much can get close to tuning it as well as a dyno.
