Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

      [i]Blazen,
I honestly think from looking at ur setup that your problem was an ignition problem, both timing and power. I don't see anything like a blaster coil or ignition power upgrades to properly burn all the fuel and air you had going into your setup which would cause the extra heat and possibly lead to your valves and pistons being burnt. Also i noticed you said u were shifting at redline, what i'd really like to know is on your dyno graph were you still making power at redline? Because even with the turbo on power should still take a dramatic dive after 5600rpm on a stock engine.

True I did not have an ignition upgrade, just new OEM parts, I was told by my tuning tech that at 7psi I did not need an MS6 or external coil...since i'm not making 200+HP. But when I up the boost to 12psi then I think external blaster coil and ignition msd 6 would be needed to burn all that fuel and air. when I say shifting at redline, that about 6000-6200RPM. I have an automatic tranny with a sport shift button, so If I'm lazy when racing. I just floor it and the auto trany will upshift close to 6200RPM. when I'm serious then I manual shift at 5500RPM where my peak power come on.

How about a cheaper ghetto way, use the winshield water pump and reroute the pipe and weld it to the intercooler pipe before the throttle body.. now add some dry ice or Water/Methanol

        just a sugestion
I think water injection or Nitrous chiller injector/sprayer would help out very much..

u still need a high psi pump to atomize the water/methanol to get the full effect
their pumps sell separately for 100 id rather spend the 300.. keep the lil 2qt reservior as my windshield fluid and use the big windshield reservior as my main methanol supply

i've looked into this also, but buying a kit is not "me." In keeping with my tradition of doing things myself i'd much rather make a DIY water injection system and save money than a company bought kit...but thats just me, i did a DIY ram air next will be water/CO2/methanol/alcohol injection which ever i choose to go with
