Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

It can due to the change in CFM. For optimal performance i say get a retuned ecu. By the way is this Eric as in AccordR33 or Eric from Ericks Racing?

P.S. If its the latter, someone should kick you many times. j/k

you can drive it just stay out of boost. How far is the dyno?

Thats easier said than done with a big evo turbo. Does that thing start boosting just under 3k? Or maybe around 3k...Hmmm (I'm about to go out so I can't search this and make sure).

oh and if u want a very good safety feature...just disconnect a charge pipe, you don't even have to take out just make it so can't really build boost. If the ecu doesn't read boost then it won't dump in fuel to compensate for it.

well yea the Manifold Air Pressure Sensor reads the pressure and the distributor sends the rpm signal. The ecu accepts and calculates the two and sends a signal to the injectors to open for X amount of time. So if the MAP sensor only sees 0 vac it'll only send the fuel programmed into the map for 0 vac even tho the turbo itself could be at like 20psi

sounds lika a good idea . dyno is 2 hours away highway driving ! i dont wanna really disconnect the piping because it could make the car run really shitty on highway. can anyone send me their working evo3 big 16g map? that would be appreciated so i can give it to the guys at the shop.

why would it make the car run shitty? Just put an air filter over the pipe that leads to the engine as if it were n/a. It'll run exactly the same

yeah, or even switch back to stock ecu with charge pipes connected, then when you hit the dyno, put the charge pipes on and chipped ecu in.
