Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Turbo motor buildup

    ok. ima start building my isht for boost.... what i have in mind is as follows, so u turbo kings, feel free to post advice or comments, to HELP! me out....

    I seen this buildup in a mag.
    f22a6 rebuilt block
    h22a4 pistons (thats type-s right?) or some other pistons (DK yet?)
    eagle rods
    h22 crank
    h23ax head (p&p, 3 angle valve job,titanium springs and retainer and new valves )
    h23ax tranny

    as far as fuel management ima trying to get a hold of a uberdata or if not just chip my ecu and some 450 injector or higher, i have the b&m fpr,

    and my turbo set up will be 2g dsm mani for now, i think ill use a mazda 626 turbo i got or if not my boy has a dsm 16g turbo. i have a spearco intercooler btw. with 2.5inch piping
    3 inch dp
    2 3/4 inch exhaust fro dp to back no cat to some kinda muffler
    ...maybe apexi n1

    p.s. i might deck my head depending on what pistons i go with... gotta look into that more... just throwing shit on the table to get me moving in the right direction a little better.

    i'll be using exedy stage 3 clutch and fidanza flywheel.

        why would you put the weekest pistons honda ever made in your block?or do you mean aftermarket h22a pistons?

        And yes,you sound like you need more research.

          YESSSSS....... this is exactly why i made this thread....i did some research and for what i read arent type s piston the stronger of the bunch??? so in ur opinion what pistons would be better??
          and well, if aftermarket pistons are better then shit i want after market!.

          i also herd if i just get f22 pistons and cryo the rings, supposedly it would stand much more boost, hopefully 20 psi once or twice u noe for track days, with out having to overhaul the motor..........(comment this)

          as far as putting h22 crank, i figured, its configured for v-tec, so it'll hold stronger agaisnt the boosting pressure right???++++ ( comment on this too)

          but as far as the rest of the shit what else do u guys see as "wrong"?.

              Type s pistons are like 11.0-1 compression ratio. 3" downpipe won't fit without notching the crossmember. I think your custom setup would easily cost $6-7000, and most of it doesn't seem like it was planned very well.

                yep u are absolutely correct, i was just throwing shit that came to my mind, hoping for it to piece together, but!!! now i think i'm getting alot closer to what im going to doo.....

                ok so heres what's popping now..
                im going to be using a 18g turbo( if anybody want to trade for maybe a reg 16g hit me up and i also got a delta gate wastegate for sale), with internal wastegate
                f22ax block with f22ax crank and upgraded rods, piston, rings, and ima rock upgrade valve train with a full port and polish h23 head.

                im going to be using 450 injectors, and a 2 3/4" dump pipe to a 2 3/4" exhaust. as far as intercooling i got a skyline intercooler, with 2 3/4" piping to and from the turbo. i gave up on trying to build a hardcore turbo motor bcus i just aint got the loot. but i think with a semi stock semi upgrade build i'll be able to boost w/o too many problems, right.

                im thinking about buying eagle rods and wiseco pistons(if they make them for our blocks) or maybe arias. if that fails, i got an idea from some guy, he said why not buy stock stuff and get it shot peened and cryo'd? so i may doo that just?? what cha think?

                so pretty much what i need goes as follows-
                lighter flywheel and upgraded clutch
                new pistons,rings,rods,and bearings
                get my block honed and head ported
                oil lines and upgraded fuel pump
                450 injectors (i got 370's but i herd they are too small??)
                p06 ecu

                i got the following-
                1st gen dsm manifold
                18g turbo w/ int. wastegate
                dsm bov
                370 injectors
                skyline intercooler
                f22a1 block

                well thats all i can remember for now... any comments?
