Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Dyno 8-9-05

    Well, hit the dyno today. Running 11.5:1 a/f most the way. Ignition still set to really retarded, fouled plugs, and stock exhaust. With all that in mind, here is what I made(I'll try to get the dyno sheet scanned. Even has a pic of my car on it).

    WTQ- 205.1
    WHP- 192.8

    Not bad numbers since I'm not that tuned on the 14b. I think I should get a good bit more out of it, considering r33 made 205 wtq on the sohc. I want to hit 220 wtq, but that's not happening since I'm leaving my car in 16 days

      you should try running the map i posted on the calling all...yada yada thread. i would richen it up a bit...you may want to retard it a degree or so all over temporarily until you get a fmic

        I have a FMIC. I'll give it a try. Think I'll use your ignition tables, my fuel tables, and now I need the stock f22b vacuum ign/fuel tables.

                use everything on my new map...richen up the fuel like 5% in boost and keep an eye on the vac. then subtract fuel from boost like normal.

                      hmmm...adjustable cam gears to move that tq further up would net you somewhere in the low 200whp range. HP and TQ cross at exactly 5250rpm...so if you move the tq curve...

                        Theres a couple of things I need to do to get this thing running better. For now, it stays, next summer, I'll be redoing a lot of things. Cam gears might be in that list.

                        Talked to 91accordexr33, was telling me how he blew his motor. Appararently oil in the charges pipes, leads to higher compression I believe in the cylinders, so advancing ignition off that would be bad. My turbo is leaking a little bit, so I'm settling for the 205 wtq for now, hey I stomped a 240sx sr20det with it, so I'm very happy.

                          oil lowers the octane rating of gasoline which can make it very easy to detonate...alot of oil in the cylinders and its the same as hydrolocking the motor

                            lowers octane rating, that's what it was. He told me about it at like 1am, so it was kinda fuzzy. With a leaking turbo, I'll wait till '07, then new turbo setup.
