Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Turbo Progress Thread !

over the weekend. her is what i got done:

    -manifold is on
-T25 turbo is on (might cut the 90 degree elbow tho)
-fmic is mounted, yet no piping
-oilpan is getting a fittin welded into it

    some things i ran into:

i have an oil kit from homemadeturbo.com
which comes witha a brass fitting which cant be just welded to the oilpan.
also thereturn hose just doest look long enough, is it?
3rd is the :where do i plug the oil feed line?

1 - if u wield it ur gonna waste ur oil pan , drill a hole so the fitting can be screwed in it then use jb weld to seal it.

2 - dont worry if its steath's kit it is...

3 - the oil feed kit use the tuner toys piece u sould have in the kit , u unscrew the oil pressure sensor ( located over the oil filter behind the block ) , screw the tuner toy in and screw the sensor in the top fitting , turbo oil feed on the side. also if u did not buy a oil restrictor i would advise u to do so , it really helps.

I am going to drill the oil pan now and do it how you said with JB Weld. I was just curious, why not weld it?

if you can find a stainless steel fitting of some sort then use one of those and weld it. I've been able to find the perfect part at Lowe's a couple of times. Its just an 1.5" long stainless steel tube that you'll find with the nuts and bolts. Either way is good tho just make sure its sealed

Downpipe and exhaust were made but turbo is just free spooling tight now due to plumbing issues witht the t25 turbo.

I know how that is. My turbo has been doing that for awhile. It's kinda a pain....still waiting on my parts to fix it...

use exhaust piping if needed for charge pipes for right now, that is my specialty being that there is a muffler shop just down the alley from my garage! Its scrap metal bin comes in wonders!

the ppl who did my exhaust were gonna do my charge piping too but then they bitched out because its "way to difficult" with the way trubo sits and my fmic. but oh well ill find another shop to do it . Car sound SICK with 2.5 inch exhaust with no rstrictions and trubo spool is sooo loud. ill make sound clips of the exhaust they made me!
