Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    curious: crank seal

yah so after going turbo i now find out that i need to replace my crank seal, i was just curious on how long it will take to replace the seal / is it a pain in the ass to do it? i already know how just curious on how long it took others to do it. its not to bad so im just living with it for now.

might as well do all the seals in the front motor if your already there and replace the timing belt, balance shaft belt, and waterpump too. You'll have a hell of a time taking off the crank pulley bolt unless you have a strong impact gun. Its not terribly difficult but it is alot of work.

I h8 doin the timing belt! It has that cap nut on the tensioner bolt and we trashed it trying to get it off! But I think if you pulled the motor out of the bay you would have way less difficulty doing these things! Why dont they give us another inch or two between the fender wall and motor! Maybe my caucasian hands just to damn big!! lol! Id say 6hrs. total, if you have all parts, and with a few breaks!

        WaC!

umm... just putting in my to cents here.... if u have all the right tools inculding a strong air impact gun.... its should only be about 4 and a half hours. give or take 30 mins due to big hands... oh and mrx we f22 motor ppl only have one belt under the timing cover.... so we dont have a balance shaft belt... just FYI....
