im swapping in the f22b dohc soon and am wanting to know if ill have enough room to install either an obx or ssautochrome (dont flame me about there quality please). ive already removed my ac and plan on removing cruise control and possibley power steering if needed for the install. so if you have any expierence with these manifolds and fittings please let me know, thanks.. here are the pictures of the obx manifold, will it fit with a t3/t4 turbo, or would there be enough room with a t3/t4 bolted to a ssautochrome dsm manifold?

hey i used the ssautochrome dsm manifold on my setup on my f22a1. if u use it you don't have to take out your ac pump . the ac lines will not work tho.
to make it work on my car i had to make a new torque strap for the turbo to mount up. i had to grind off parts of the block where it mounted to and could only use two of the leftover bolt holes on the block for my new homade strap.
next im using a external wg and i had to actuall cut the flande off the manifold and reweld it at a slight angle for the waste gate to clear the alternator.
for the down pipe i just got a 90 degree 2.5in mand bend. cut off part ot it and wellded it on. at a slight angle to clear the crossmember. theres no need to get rid of ps either.
if you want ac you could make it work with this manifold by fabbing some new ac lines with plenty of room for a down pipe.
As far as flaming goes on the manifold, it is damn well made for the price you pay in my opinion! just im or pm me if you got any questions on the ssautochrome manifold.Last edited by Backfire32; 06-18-2005, 02:50 PM.

here is how my mount is done and where i grided. well i had to end up taking off the right bolt and cut that peice of the flandge out. after that i just had to grid off a little more on that stud and the center between the two top studes. crappy pics but you can make it out kinda sry. hope these pics help if not just aim me and ill send u some bigger pics.
the turbo ur runnig will make a difference on fitment as well. mine is a t3-60 .63ar. really tight fit! but fits real well.

i got a ssautochrom 35 mm wastegate and been running it for the past 3 months nearly and it was used before that on someoneesles ride and there has been no porblem so far? but i do hate how there spring rate setup is but i don't care anymore cause i got my ebc. but as far as manifolds go i really don't see how its made bad on the 4g63? i seriouly doubt it will break at the welds! maybe there b series engine ones did but i doubt the one i got now will. the only thing i didn't like about the manifold was how the pipes are so close to my hood. but i got it wrapped now so its reduced the heat alot.

thanks for the help backfire but i was looking at the h23/f22 ssautocrome manifold and it seems like it clears up the fabicrating issues or atleast the rewelding of the wastegate, idk about the torque strap but if i decide against this manifold im definantly getting the dsm version.. thanks for the help again
