Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

That welding thing, welding cast, well instead of using the first gen dsm manifold, that had a crack from top to bottom, I just went on calgarydsm website and threw up a wtb thread, and 40 dollars later and a trip up to airdrie (5 min from calgary) I then bought a 2 gen dsm manifold with egt probe bung already welded into it!

Sorry soon to come, Ive been f****ing sick with the flu or some thing, dont want to do anything, left work early Wed and Thurs and friday we all got off, Besides my struts arent quite here yet. there in calgary as of right now. Also wheres your members ride thread?

I think im gonna save for the rotor over hub conversion next, cause my car wont be ready for 18pounds till next year with having to get a higher map sensor, better "drag" tires/rims, lots of tuning, etc. Plus I wanna be able to afford to go to kamloops/nanaimo/chilliwack etc. in two and a half months or whatever!

As soon as I can go outside Ill start with new pics and maybe theyll deliver my struts!

Also since my second most recent post, ive added a ebay oil catch tank, a home depot intake, K&N filter that fits location perfectly. Full 3" turboback exhaust with 3" flex section and 3" inside diameter resonator, and 3" inside diameter tip. Is loud when I am screeming but not at idle. Rear disc conversion with rear sway bar.

          Next on the list is:
          Install agx's
glue conector from oil catch return to intake
          alignment
install "good front bumper" and figure out how to keep bumper signal lens'
          TUNE more
Put better clamp on oil return from turbo to oil pan. Old is done, due to pryed on
New Brake pads and rotors all the way round.
And hopefully front Rotor over hub, and replace stupid broken stud!
          Refinish sub box
get a set of rear strut braces
redo 3" downpipe (its flat again)
          and the list goes on!!!!!!!

              oh yeah!
I am still using that ecu, although I do have another now just need to get a chipping kit and such so I can use that one! I kind of dont like the one you sent me years ago, just because the socket is wore from swapping chips so often lol, but it does work when you get the chips in there right!
That tune was really nice to start with, in fact I only made small adjustments to the transition to boost table and the vacuum area round -10in/hg at 2000-4000 ish rpm so my cruise control worked well. In which it does makes going up steep hills a breeze lol. I may have taken a lil of the fuel out of the boost tables to try and get it to 11.5-12.5afrs because I beleive with that map it was round 10afr which is a lil rich. Great basemap though.

MRX, can you tell me if it would be proper to adjust the ignition from 0.99 retard per pound to 1.00 per pound? My brother is kind of a techno weenie when it comes to tuning, although usually v8's and dwarf cars, also srt4 and the like. But I trust he knows what hes talking about, would you recomend this? Also are you using the most recent "stable" version of uberdata? I have yet to use it to tune, but just to mess around on, Ive been out the game for over a year!

I remember making it richer because of the drastic change in climate from florida to canada so that sounds about right. As for the socket being worn out just order another from moates.net.

.99 to 1.00 is BARELY a change. You'd be going from, say,17.99 degrees at idle to 18 degrees...I bet the program rounds it out and you don't even see a change. I use a step retard that varies that varies by rpm. Much more effiicient and coincides with the characteristics of what engines actually ask for. I'm actually making ground work in Crome at the moment. Just haven't tuned enough cars personally lately to use those maps as basemaps.

LOL yes and theyre much the hell better! Have them on the harshest setting 4 in front and 8 out back, I do wish My springs were stiffer, intrax owns me, maybe ill upgrade next year so I dont scrape with more than me in the car lol.
The only real problem with my car is a) power steering and b) is the stupid rear brakes need new rotors and pads, so hopefully next paycheque thatll all be fixed then its on to new pan gasket for reassurance and maybe some new plugs and possibly a msd or something so I can get better spark and run a larger gap! I will get pics up I just been busy with shite, may be third in charge of the Factory soon lol!
