Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

yea thats what we ended up doing.. figured that since there isnt an idle air BYPASS valve on our engine that we have no electronic (uberdata) controll of the idle. The Dyno I went to was called Tecmotion and Matthew there was VERY helpfull and really knows his stuff. I was there in total 9 hours and only paid 300$ (did about 20 runs). On the first run I put down like 143 or somthing and 160 Tq and that was running VERY lean. lol
after blowing the pipes off twice I decided to take a lunch brake and got a buddy to drive me to pick up some T bolt clamps.
By the end of the day I had a conservative tune that was nice and rich and a few degrees of timing away from max power. The best run was 160hp and 180tq. Matthew figures I could run 12psi easily on the current setup but i think ill get used to 8psi first... it still feels weird to have some acceleration finally.

Last night on my was home from a friends house i pull up beside a mid 90s neon... i was like ok as temped as I am I won't waste gas on racing him if he goes. so the light turns green as soon as I pull up and I look over... there is two 16 year old kids bobbing their heads to some rap beat and the windows are rattling due to the extreme bass produced by the 6x9s. he goes...

i was like wtf so i got after him and caught right up. then POP!!! SHIT! so I pull over and frantically open the hood and find that my pipes came right off the TB!! even with that lip on it, my clamp still wouldnt hold on i guess. so I eased it home and went to bed.

160hp and 180tq was the best???

I guess auto sucks A LOT of power.......

Were they good at tuning turbos??

Well at least it feels good to be boosting....... hummmm.... 5spd conv???

yup, without the drive and tranny loss we calculated BHP out to be 230 and Tq at the flywheel to be 260. apparently the auto sucks an average of 30 whp from any vehicle. and yeah they were great with the turbo, we could only take a 5 second pull because even with overdrive off it would still kick down a gear at 100km/h when he floored it!!!

im using an auto P06 ecu. It has been chipped and is running uber version 1.66. by the way, props to Midnite for the basemap.... required minor tweaking and was easy to set up for more fuel accross the board.

i know this is an old thread but there is alot of usefull info on here that i don't want to spend time looking for later when i'm installing my turbo. so that's why i'm replying to this thread so i can have it in my pesonal files instead of having to go thru everything all over again. prop to everyone on the write up it's great.
