Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Its time for turbo... a few last questions

Hi everyone, im new to this board and have been reading up on the turbo install in the cb7 and there is a few things im still not clear on... I have done plenty of searching and reading on all the "noob" faq's and such but a few things are unclear to me:

-I dont need to use my stock o2 sensor position by the flex pipe. i can use my wideband for tuning and then the stock one in the NEW spot on the DSM o2 housing after extending the wires... right?????

-for the BOV and the wastegate actuator i can connect them to a spare port on my intake manifold vacume, correct?

-if i decide to use an oil catch can, i know i have to re-locate the line that normally conects to the intake manifold and make it feed from "in front" of the turbo... my question is what do i do with the vaccume port on the IM that is now left open.... should i plug it?

im sure i will have more questions to come but for now any help would be REALLY appreciated!! thanks guys oh and is there anyone here that will sell me a p06 ECU?

I'm kind of wondering about the o2 sensor too... didn't fully understand everything about it. Is he saying that you need two o2 bungs like one for the stock one and one for the wideband? Or once you get the wideband do you not need the stock one too?

it depends what wideband you get. Some of the widebands come with a seperate "narrowband" output that you can feed back to the ECU to keep it happy. therefore letting you run only one o2 sensor

Alright see that's what I was thinking. I know you need the wideband for tuning and all, but I thought you would still need another for the ecu too. Does the Zeitronix come equipped like that or will I still need the stock one with it?

Good thread, answered a few small ?'s that I wanted to know esp. about the o2 sensor and how you can run 2 or even 1.

Also, for the w/g actuator, can't you connect the vacuum line to the fitting on the compressor? So, you wouldn't have a line all the way to the IM. The DSM turbos have that right? I'm almost postive they do.

About Zeitronix, it seems like most/some people have it for their w/b, is this product the best compared to others?

ringmaster-what engine are you using? What parts do you plan on using? Best of luck and keep us posted

                            Thanks guys

F-ing sweet. Definitely going with the Zeitronix then. Well I asked the same question about Zeitronix before so I'll answer it for you. It is the most reasonably priced wideband, and it has all the features you could really need.
