Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Any DD turbo builds ? F22Ax

Any members have any low boost set ups for the F22Ax ?

What would consist of a safe daily driver turbo set up for the F22Ax ?

Most of the builds here don't last too long and involve high PSI which is why I am asking.

The F22Ax engine was never designed for boost which will eventually cause a ringland to go. IMO if your not planning on running 9+ psi (on a properly sized turbo for the application), why do a turbo setup anyways, unless EVERYTHING was free?

If your not upgrading to forged internals the 'safest daily driver' would be a car with no boost. If you want to boost a stock block 'safely', I hope you keep a spare block on the side, and are willing to have the associated downtime, and resources (time, money, energy) to fix it when it 'blows up'.

A low boost DD would still require pretty much as much beefing up as a high boost monster.

I DD'd mine before I parted it out.

Read people MR's, do some research and come up with your own conclusions on whats best for you.

Fact is - Turbo DD is possible, but not totally reliable.
You NEED a second car just in case, Problems WILL happen - whether its a blown turbo, Broken ringland, boost leak, damaged wideband, The list goes on.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

Thanks. I've been reading a lot. I'm planning to get a new car by the end of the year so I can work on the CB with no worries of not being able to get to work. Thanks again for the help guys.

Help is what we are here for, be sure to make a nice build thread once you are underway so that younger members can gain from your experience. Thread closed.
