Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Try more like 7psi if you are high miles leaving it stock internals. You can boost stock if you are really careful, but more than anything it requires very, very good tuning. If you aren't going to learn to.tune very well before you boost, be prepared to have someone else who knows how to do it. It is a gamble but there are people who have done stock boost successfully on here.

Gdout ran around with stock but freshly rebuilt and made nice numbers for a while. Much better than just sticking a turbo on a high mile.motor without doing anything else to it.
It may seem like rice.but your other alternative would be NOS, as you will get the same results and since its more for show vs daily power its something to.consider.

I swear Carlos follows me everywhere first in Florida now in Washington lol

No need to repeat whats already been said but u can put a nitrous kit in to add more power too and it's cheaper

                Use a 16G and a large intercooler.
A larger intercooler will drop a bit of pressure, and take a little longer to spool at low shaft speeds, But the benefit is the lower IAT's which will prolong the engine life and make tuning easier.
And it allows a lower Psi, by running a higher volume of air.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

You seem to already know exactly what you want, and exactly how you plan to get it.
Everyone is telling you what you need to do what you want safely. You WILL blow a ringland with a stock bottom end. Maybe not right away, but it will happen. The stock cast pistons are not meant for boost, and they will not hold up for very long. Even low boost.

Do as you wish, but don't be surprised if it blows up. In fact, expect it to, and prepare accordingly.
