Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

would a basemap for H22 run the F22

Would the base map for one run the other, just the same as a basemap for the f22. only asking cause one of the only guys in my town that tunes a little on hondas already has a couple of basemaps for the H22. thanks. And i know its just a basemap, but the engines are so similar.

it will run, yes. but i wouldn't use it for anything more than to get the engine started so it can be tuned. i would not drive on it.

      ummm

If he can't make a simple tubo base map, I would look elsewhere for tuning.

Also what software are you running, if it is crome I think xenocron has a boosted f series map somewhere.

You can run stock injectors/stock ECU to drive it to your tuner. Just don't tighten one of your couplers so it doesn't build any boost. Then when you get to your tuner, swap the injectors, swap the ECU, and tighten the coupler.

I know it will not run it great because it is a BASEMAP! What im needing to know is since the engines are so similar, would a basemap made for the h22 run the f22 the same as the basemap made for the f22, AGAIN, no tuner near here. Will get it tuned when i can. thanks........

He and i both have crome, he just has 3 or 4 chips already burnt with exactly the thing i need done to mine as far as fuel, rev limiter and so on..

            My thoughts

look, if he has 3 or 4 chips burnt with "what you want done" then he isn't a tuner, he takes maps that exist and buns them to a chip.

I don't know of any tuners that just have chips sitting around to sell as basemaps.

If someone needed a base map, then one is made for their application. Using a generic basemap not built for your configuration is taking two steps in a bad direction.

I think the help section in crome even walks you though how to make a base map.

If he can't do it, I would pm MRX on this forum, or find someone who will make one for your setup.

as for using an h22 base map, sure you can, but it should be modified, meaning vtec should be disabled at the very least, and most tuners do not tune low cam for boost, so you would be on a very generic map anyway, probably one you could make yourself by reading up on basemaps in crome.
