Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

only if you want to run higher or lower then 8 psi. I think that is what the 14b wastegate is set at.

I thought there was a way to make it run lower... I don't want to run 8 psi daily.

not with a MBC...you can shorten the wastegate arm to lower the boost a little. but you kill spool time a lot.

why dont you want to run 8psi? i do it everyday...50 miles a day. and i have 200,000 miles

I know you can run boost with high compression, but I would rather run 6 psi daily on 9:1 compression. Then tun it to 8psi on the weekends. I would get kinda paranoid if I ran 8 psi daily on that compression.

9:1 compression is not high by any means...stock f22 is only like 8.8:1 or whatever. you will be more than fine with 8psi, and it will be much more reliable because the wastegate will be more stable

probably like 13-14 before shit starts to break...thats the highest i would ever go. but 8-10 is pretty safe

You can, but it requires getting rid of the internal wastegate and installing an external one.

if i use a mbc will i be able to run 10 psi with the stock 14b wastegate? i know it normally cuts off at 8 psi. can it be taken higher without replacing spring?
