ideally it's best to put together your own kit using name brand quality parts.

but i risked it and am using some no-name parts and they are very reliable (including my wastegate)

for 800 bucks that kit doesnt seem bad.

make sure you do your homework on what to check/adjust on a no-name turbocharger.
a lot of people take an "ebay" turbo, just slap it on without checking the torque on the nut, and then their turbo falls apart and they start rumors online that everything made in china falls apart.

Drag turbo kits aren't bad. It's not necessarily an "ebay" no-name turbo kit. Drag is more reputable than most the other junk you'll find on ebay.

i was going to say that kit is a lil more expensive then other kits.... but this one has many more extra parts than the other kits.....

as rexload said, before you install the turbo, take it appart and torque the bolts right.... run an oil restrictor.....

doesnt look bad to me, i dont really know much but i do have a friend that buys the kit and once the turbo goes out he either rebuilts it with name brand parts/ rebuilt a stock turbo from saab or just buys a garret turbo and uses the kit from ebay but im sure as long as ur not trying to squees 13+psi it shouldnt give u any problems, he usually sticks around 9 or 10

That's actually a LOT of parts for an E-bay kit. Most only come with but big items like piping, turbo, exhaust manifold, waste gate, and oil feed lines. That one comes with fittings, and clamps, and just a party of parts lol. I still wouldn't do it though.

I will never trust a no name turbo or wastegate to be honest, though I know many have had good luck with them. The same quality control in manufacturing does not exist in China as it does with quality brands like Tial, Garrett, etc. Things may look great, but the difference in something being off by .01" could make a big difference.

This may not always be the case, but as I said, I personally wouldn't risk it.

The kit doesn't look bad overall, and you could probably sell the turbo and wg and use a lot of the rest of the kit.

It looks like a lot of stuff in the pictures, but if you look closely, you'll see that it's just a bunch a misc. items and hardware spread out so it looks like more. It's more unnecessary stuff than things you actually need.

                  I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't buy a kit at all.

the ebay kit is not that bad in my opinion. i heard that if you buy the kit, make sure u rebuild the turbo, retorque everything and have it rebalanced.

the turbo manifold, oil lines, bov, boostcontroller, fan, intercooler and piping are ok, the only thing i would not trust is the wastegate

you can buy the kit, and just not use the turbo, get a name brand, like garrett, turbonetics, Precision, greddy...etc

Yea I wouldn't use the turbo that came with the kit. Chances are, the turbo is really small, and small turbos seem to heat up very quickly, which can cause some serious damage. Also, I wouldn't trust the wastegate with that kit either for numerous reasons. At least get a higher quality turbo, and wastegate if you buy that kit.

thats the thing...why rebuild a cheap turbo when you can find a used or new one for the same price or a bit more?

me personally...wouldnt get an ebay turbo itself..many people have used them but they definetly dont last as long..ive seen horror and success stories..ive run a ebay wasetgate and a tial wastegate and kept the ebay one cause the tial kept spiking on me...the ebay one is still on today and i have had no issues so far..the most important part of a turbo setup is the tuning and engine management...if you get an ebay turbo and it breaks..you can buy a new one...if you blow your engine due to shitty tuning..your shit out of luck...bottom line:
if your on a budget...ghead and buy an ebay kit but expect the worse..the quality isnt the best so just be prepared for anything..as you should with any turbo setup...

agreed, you can rebuild the ebay turbo kit with garrett parts, but i have a feeling the housings are made of cheap material, they look like they are about to crack open and true on tuning.
if you know what you're doing, even the ebay kit should last a little bit longer....

Best advice i've had, piece together your own turbo, that way you can learn what each part is responsible for.

some people just buy a turbo kit and slap it on, and when someone asks, "whats that spaceship looking thing and what does it do??" you have no idea what to say...oh its the "BOV" pssshhh

Buy it.. Even if you have to replace the BoV, turbo and wastegate.. That's a hell of a deal for all the stuff you're getting

I'd buy that in a heartbeat, except i have an F22A, and will never go H! lol

If you're running an H22, you can't run very much boost due to the FRM sleeves. So I'd definitely replace the wastegate before getting a turbo for one, also it might not be too bad if your wastegate causes your turbo to not run too hard.
