From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

they are really really hit or miss.
Rather than a hit or miss why not get a turbo from peakboost their turbos are good . And so is their customer service.

i fully agree. boost isn't something you want to "miss" with. all too often it seems no one has the time or $ to do something right the first time, but have to make the time and spend the money to do it right the second time. just save yourself a lot of time and $ and do it once.

thanks, but i can't find the price on these turbos, just for the kits.
Is this turbo based on garret, i found one ebay thats a Peakboost Garrett GT35R turbo, $250

edit*: 250 is the start bid, to buy it now is $1,200

Weirtech, care to backup your statement that a turbo is made in China just because of its value?
I'm beginning to wonder if you have just been posting for the hell of it today

I've heard good things from people running turbonetics turbos.
Even Bisi is using a Turbonetics on his new build.

the amount of manufacturing involved, even when mass produced plus material cost, tooling cost, jigs, fixtures, quality control, everything involved including labor cost... just common sense. there is no way that a part that complex can be manufactured with decent quality in the US for $200. china, sure, no qc, labor cost is peanuts and the materials being used are less than desirable.

this is an entry level turbo, basically its not known very well, no one will pay 500 dollars for a turbo that is not known, so it has to start cheap so people buys it.

Even if the company has to loose money, they have to gain trust from tuners, until they see the quality over the long term, thats when the turbo gets in demand, more demand means the cost of the turbo will increase. thats how it works.

This company is only 4 years old. garret, holset...and other well known turboes have been around for a long time, i know for a fact that garrett has been around for more than 50 years

that manifold that mike got is not for F22A motors, its for f22b1 vtec i think.
and that turbo on that link is not garrett.
                              i also got a h23 intake manifold.
