Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

More info on your setup would help answer your question. Backing up a bit of timing is nice to keep things conservative.

What are you using to tune? With Crome, i'm able to use the degree per psi feature. I would go with probably at least 1* or 1.25* retard per psi of boost...but I don't know your injector size, CR (guessing above 9:1), etc

To me that's way to much...1.25* x 8 = 10* he'd be pulling off a stock sohc rom..which probably has timing in the high to mid 20s....so say its at 28* at 5krpm..now he would be at 18* at 5k @ 8psi. = too much pulled imo..

Without a wideband thou..I wouldn't touch shit anyway..

Set your distributor timing to factory and use crome to alter it..not the other way around

The "I don't know if its tuned" ECU concerns me... that should be the most important thing! Get that thing tuned.
