Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Thanks, I give most of the credit to the other people on this site who enticed me to do this build. Not sure how long it will take, but it will be done right.

I am pretty excited about this build.
                  why, you ask?
well cause for a 1st build you got some great plans and obviously did some research.

once you get it together expect a lot of pm's and messages asking about boost. most of em with no research. its coming man.

but good work, and yah what are your goals? hp and torque?

SOHC is cool boosted but in my eyes DOHC looks better boosted.
probably cause it fills out the engine bay better.
good luck with the frank boosted!

looks like the manifold will be the only bottle-beck in the system. everything else looks like its good for 400+hp.

i'd try to find an EQ if you could.

Was the inside of your head bead blasted? The cam surfaces will need to be rehoned and at that point, you'll probably need to bore em out for custom bearings. Bead blasting the cam bore is huge mistake made by a lot of inexperienced people with bead blasters.

Your parts look good, I'd hold off on the cams tho. You don't really need them with that tiny turbo. If anything, I'd go with some crower 1's or 2's for when you decide to step up to a bigger turbo.

Leave off the MSD 6A. It's trash. Either get a digital box, or stick with the stock ignition. Just be sure to replace the ignitor and give a good coat of di-electric grease.

cause you can't ever get all the beads out?
