Ok well i'm tired of not knowing what the hell people are talking about on there turbo builds. So can the knowledgble people who know a great deal about turbos please explain the basics to me. Like all the stuff with DSM, what it stands for. Also turbo sizes. Anything else would be apparicated the more I know the better. (sry i cant spell all that well) Ok I was a little vauge at my oposing question. I know the mechanical aspects of turbos. I'm looking for answer in classifcation, also fuel system requirements, etc.

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

DSM - Diamond Star Motors
14bs come off the 1st and 2nd gen eclipses. good low hp and tq, weaks out on the top end. full boost at like 1800-2000k. highest psi you could run safely for the turbo is 12.5psi
16gs come off the evo 3.s good low to high range power. full boost between 2,500 - 3000k rpm. highest psi is like 16psi for our motors. could get you over the 300hp range
theres other dsm turbos, but it requires custom made manifoldsmiss my turbo cb7
moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did
