From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    gfrg88: First F22 Turbo build.

So, this is my first turbo build on CB7 using the stock F22. I just finish it today (pics will be coming up tomorrow when there's sunlight).

Here's what I have so far:

    New DSM mani re-drilled- $75
    T25 (upgrading to EVOIII 16g soon)- $25
DSM o2 housing and downpipe- $40
    DSM bov- $10
    BIG intercooler- $40
    Oil feed/return kit- $60
    450cc injectors- free
intercooler "piping"- free (My dad and I own a plumbing company )

I think I might be missing some things.. But so far I've only spent ~$250. I'm happy with that.

    What I need:
A DAMN STRONG BASEMAP FOR THE F22!!!!
Some time on the street datalogging to get her running good.
A tranny cooler (Yes, it's an automatic and my first auto car with turbo)

Also I have a quick question, I still haven't plugged in my chipped P06. Will it work with the automatic?? Like I said, this is the first time I have ever messed with an auto car..

Anyways, let me know what you guys think.

    I gots pix!!!

    BORING:

BTW, I'm not a photographer(sp?) so yeah, the pix are shitty, but you get the idea...

cool looking forward to updates and stuff, especially since its auto What kind of transmission cooler are you using? You can get the basemap on here from MRX im pretty sure, and yes $250 is very good so far. Im pretty sure the P06 will be fine even though its an auto, because TCU will deal with that.

a regular aftermarket trans cooler will work just fine with our trans you might haft to extend some lines but if you decide to put it one on id place it after it comes out if the radiator so you get the most out of it.
        Hey yo uhhhhhh fry man!!!!

I can chip the ecu my self.. I can start from nothing, but I'd just prefer a map that's been used already and tune from there...

            Exhaust is upgraded to 2.5"

            Pics tomorrow afternoon....

                post up

                pics or ban mo fo!!!

                whats the deal with:
the clutch (stock will hold for like a day)
motor mounts (losing front mount so need good ones or poly filled, or ESP)
brakes (more powa = need better stoppage)

all good things going on, but I wanna see pics.
seems like your getting a great deal.
I would def think about a 5spd swap next.

I actually don't have any previous maps I've tuned on f22's before, but I can make one and pretty sure it would be damn close to what you'd need.

THe only thing is that since you have an auto, it might not work(the chipped ecu) properly. You might need to buy a tuner harness like this http://www.xenocron.com/obd1-tuner-harness-p-169.html or something of the like. THe problem with auto's is that sometimes with chipped ecu's they won't shift properly. I've found the answer to this is to buy that harness(i found out while tuning prnonvtecs old auto setup). I don't know as to why it works, but it does.

I also HIGHLY recommend getting a 3" exhaust. Trust me, you'll be happier with it in the end.

good luck and have fun with your boosting.

Damn, So my car is park on the side of the road. I managed to get her going with the stock ecu and I was able to idle on the 450s for a while.. Once I was off the freeway, it died, and I wasn't able to get her started anymore.. SUCKS ASS!!!!

funny, I just sold that damn harness like a month ago!!! I didn't think I was going to get into big shit again, but seeing such nice cars at meets wanted to get me boosting again... I'd appreciate it if you could make a great basemap. I wanna see how much different it would be from mine...

-Clutch: Will be upgraded once the 5spd goes in, along with a nice light flywheel.
-Motor mounts: Going to get all ESP mounts w/ the 5spd conversion.
-Brakes: I have powerslot(?) drilled brakes. I think that should be good enough.

5spd tranny is next. Still trying to get all the parts needed to swap it in. Might as well upgrade everything once I have it taken apart...
