Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    dsm manifold question

Alright, so I know that we can make the dsm log style manifold fit by just redrilling the mounting holes a little bit. I'm wondering if it would be just as easy to use an aftermarket dsm manifold though like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742
I just want to know if there would be any problems with using that with my turbo project or if I would be better off getting one made for my engine.

i was gonna use the same idea until i found a custom mani. I'd say to try to convince a company not to drill the holes into the flange if your gonna get a custom dsm mani. That way u can drill it to a perfect fit. Couple of probs tho...the wastegate position on that particular mani would be all over the alternator/power steering. And the lenght of the runners b4 they "collect" may be too long and actually hit the radiator

p.s....AND DON'T BUY SSAUTOCRAP. I've heard of their manifolds literally falling apart a couple minutes after start up

Yeah, I noticed on that particular manifold that the runners went out really far so I figured it would have a fitment problem. I'm just unsure on how far off the mounting holes are ... so I guess what I'm wondering is on a high horsepower application would it not be secure enough or have some negative effects on the set up?
