Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Oil Restrictors for DSM

We all know we need an oil restrictor for the DSM turbos. My question is this, stealthmode makes one, but as you can tell from fitting sizes (1/8 NPT) it goes into there block adapter or a sandwhich plate. does it matter where the restrictor is at in the line. I have heard both, "put the restrictor in turbo inlet" and "put restrictor at block adapter (oil psi unit) or sandwhich plate". does it really matter? i mean either way its going to reduce pressure.

if its at turbo i need to find an 12x1.25 fitting with 1/8' then 1/8 to whatever my line is, right now i assume its 3 or 4AN and have to still find out.

Hola, tengo tres patas. Me llamo tripod.

aight cool, stealthmode's fitting is made to go into there block adapter (oil psi sending unit) or a sandwhich as its 1/8 NPT. so thats what im gonna do.

I've been talking to Forced Performance for a while now and I've given them all the specs, example, Oil pressure seeing near 140 psi and what not. They told me that the DSM turbo chargers don't need a restrictor but may smoke. The restrictor from stealthmode is adjustable correct? I know the one from forced performance is also an in line filter with a restriction of .100" big. They claim that this works "great" but I've had a 16G turbo blow oil into my intake piping.

I strongly recommend making your restrictor easily accessible so you can adjust or switch your oil flow without crawling behind your block.

I use a Forced Performance Turbo Filter with built in restrictor. If i remember it comes predrilled at .8mm for BB turbo's and you need to drill it to the proper size for other turbo's....
