Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Tdo4hl??

    i just bought a turbo abd the guy said it was from a 91 eclipse gsx but im not shure how can i tell im still searching on google but have no clue i also got some 450cc injectors bluetop nad 2g exhaust manifold and o2 housing...any ways i just wanna know how to tell if mine is a 1g turbo/14b
    Stuff 4 sale 2nd gen dsm turbo manifold, ebay type s blowoff valve, 93 ex pt6 ecu, f22a6 camshaft, f22a6 intake manifold, obd1 p13 ecu

              yea im pretty new on the turbo game but ill do my research any rebuilt kits?? anyone?

                    Assuming you are planning on using it for the F22 - Sell it off and get at least a TD05 14b, or 16G if you can.
                    The TD04 really is too small, and produces alot of heat.
                    Not to mention the fact that when cruising on the highway, boost is almost instantaneous.

                      If it's from a 1g GSX it could be a 14b...if it came from a manual transmission car. If it came from the auto, it's garbage, too small. Get a 14b or 16g. Don't mess with T25's either.

                        Its a 13b. As stated above earlier a 14b is a tdo5 where as tdo4's are 13b's. It may be from a 91 GSX but its from an auto.

                          i had that turbo on my old set up. sell it to a civic or something smaller than 2.0 liters dont use it. at 11.67 pounds of boost it made 197hp 208tq and that pushed it to the limits so if u were running it at 6-7 psi it might make 160 and 170 if that. dont waste your time jsut sell it and save up for 16g if not then settle for the 14b

                            You can settle for the 14b but either way but put some meth in that bitch. And port the exhaust manifold to match the ports on the head.

                              only took me 2 minutes of using the google on the internet machine to figure out it was a 13b. All you have to do is type in the part number.
