Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

no. no updates from the OP(thats me. lol). been fighting with myself if i want to boost or do N/A. im only fighting because this is my DD and my only car. if this goes, then i have no transportation. so reliability play a part. and my tuner has such a spastic schedule, i wouldnt know when i could have him come down and do the tune. lol.

i dont think you HAVE to. ive seen a few that retain their A/C. i think its about your charge pipping placement.

Sorry if im a little off topic but im in the process of boosting as well although it isn't a dsm setup I have a t3 but I would like to know how much whp our stock f22 rods can handle because I want to get forged pistons pistons sometime early next year but don't want to wait for forged rods if I don't have to. Im looking to make around 300whp to start, so could our rods handle that safely?

I don't think it's as much "whp" as it is psi & turbo choice

U can gain a shit load of whp w/non-boost related mods like cams, intake manifolds, exhaust upsizing etc

I don't know what's safe... I know someone on here pushed a stock block to the limit, but I forget who it was and how far it went before it kaboomed

straightedge hit 400 whp. I don't know the quality of the tune though, and that is instrumental to longevity.
