Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

yeah i hear the main problem with crome is Crome advances the timing over the tables and you have no control over it.
It is good for stockish motors, but when you have more compression or boost, it becomes harder to control the knock threhold.
Neptune lets you control everything and runs the car better.
have you tryed neptune??
will that work?
can you convert your car to obd1??

I haven't, but I've read and heard tons of great feedback about it. It's up to par and better than hondata and neptune.
It hasn't been that long since they've introduced it to the market, so they're still working out bugs here and there for the Pro version. If a licensed eCtune dealer is going to tune you, then you have nothing to worry about because their version is stable from what I hear.

What causes crome to be off on the timing? I know that with a standalone like ours, if you are experiencing timing drift, it is generally because your trigger edge settings are incorrect. It might not be this at all, and I was actually unaware that crome had said problem.2010 Taurus SHO - Livernois Goodies

The problem is that the Honda ECU adds timing on top of what is already in the maps. There is no way of controlling how much or when it adds. (in crome only, eCtune/Neptune and I think hondata have coded it to stop adding timing)
Also, there is a limit where above and under a certain point, lower or adding timing has absolutely no effect. This means that while you're trying to still retard timing to say 8*btdc, it won't actually do that but will stop at that limit(i forgot what the 2 limits were). This has been true to setups that use the hi cam so far.
It's been said that the newest version of crome has these bugs fixed, but I've yet to see that with my own logs.

its called the honda timing ghost.. at certain points (unscripted) (no way to replicate) it basiclly adds timing anywhere from 2-6degrees.. so basiclly u cant really ever full tune a car.. u must always datalog and have a safe zone (be conservative) which d112 hates.. but i dont mind in the hopes of not grenading an engine.. sure less. power.. but still more than stock (na apps) and a hell of alot more then hacks/piggybacks on forced induction..
Slightly offtopic.. i saw my first honda with an AUTRONIC EMS at my job the other day.. 30psi stroked B series to 2.0L.. damn near nutted... anyword on AUTRONIC chess?

alos his emanage probally was good and working.
you can not just use a regular usb cable and hook it to the computer.
there a special non usb cable(printer port style) and people make the special usb cable that have a differnt signal in them.
the best part about emanage was the profec e-01 boost controller, when i had it.

Lol @ this thread. If nobody has ever used kpro, how are they going to come in and argue how well it works/how buggy it is, are you kidding me? It does exactly what it's supposed to do, WHAT YOU TELL IT TO! As for ignition advance, I dd my car and have absolutely zero driveability problems and everytime I make a pass, my plugs are clean. If you want to talk about knock count off of a knock sensor, you must be joking. Talk about an inaccurate, inconsistant system. Any tuner who knows what they're talking about will tell you a stock honda knock sensor is complete garbage and useless for tuning when making big power. The only TRUE way to know if you're getting knock or not is by reading plugs.
