Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Wastegate problem

    14b/16g wastegate

    The boost gauge is showing 7 psi full boost now. ive been running like that for the past 2 weeks. i have come to the conclusion that the wastegate blew, but now sure. my tune is set for 12.5 psi full boost. no wonder im running too rich.

    things i could go it to correct it? install manual boost controller?

    moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did

    which WGA (wastegate actuator) do you have on there, 14b or 16g? I believe 14b would see that 7ish psi on your setup, but a 16g wga should yeild about 11-12...i think

    as long as it is functioning and opening correctly (assuming you have no boost leaks and your guage is correct) then a MBC would solve your problem and allow you to run any boost level above your current WG setting

      well last night i figured it out. my boost gauge is off by 3psi. so when the car is off it sits at 3psi. so on full boost im pushing 7psi + the 3 is 10. so now i just need a tune.
