    Turbo high mileage motor...?

    I was wondering whats your guys opinions on turbocharging a F22a1 motor with well over 100,000 miles, I know its a stupid question but I want to know if its worth the trouble or if it is possible to keep the engine going longer with it well maintained??? Help CB7tuners.

          Mileage doesn't mean squat....compression tests is where its at .

          I have 185K on mine and I have no trouble throwing on a turbo on her...compression was all good
          No more cb7, 7 years of ownership and 196K on the ticker before she was sold

          Current beast: 98 ej8 on 7psi with a 15g turbo and other goodies!

            i have 190,+++ on mines...

            just got off of nitrous also.......car still running strong
            so i say it doesnt matter long as the car was well maintenanced and the compression checks out good.
            ofcourse its always good to replace little stuff that might help....gaskets, flush the motor and stuff.
            NEED RAP BEATS.....

                OK, when you do a compression test across all 4 cylinders whats a good rating, or what should it be at??? I wanna turbo my car but I'm only going to be running maybe a T25, T28, or a T3 Turbine set-up I'm only going to be running on 5-7psi since the internals are stock.

                    Wow 8-10psi thats sounds like alot, wouldn't it blow if you floor your cb7 alot though? Also what type of turbine can I run since i'm just shooting around 5-8psi??? Oh yeah I'm converting my car to stick shift first though heh this weekend hopefully if everything goes according to plan I'll post pics of it up ASAP when its done, who makes good Turbo manifolds, oh yeah I wanna keep my A/C, man its so humid and hot here in Hawaii, it either rains or shines thats about it.

                        That's really not a good thing to tell somebody who obviously doesn't know much about turboing the cb7. The engine can handle that, but for how long is another story. I gaurantee it won't handle it for long at all without proper engine management and tuning.

                            Why turbo it if you're not going to give 'er????

                            Almost like training for a big sporting event and then not showing up...
