Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

A little Update on my turbo project...

If you guys remember its been almost a year and a half since I turbo'd my car...it hasnt been regestered since but I drive it occasionally (dealer plate from work )..I have put MAYBE 500 miles on it. I have always had a problem with oil leaking from my pan from the return line fitting. Iwas fed up last summer with JB weld and used pans so I bought a new one and had my welder weld a bung to it and I used ss lines and aeromotive fittings on it.
It seems that it is spitting oil out from the top of the bung tho.... could it be a bad weld maybe?? im going to drop the pan tonight or tomorrow n check it out.

Also...I noticed some oil residue on the inlet of my turbo. I let it idle for like 20 mins last week and there was a small puddle on the inlet lip. I replaced the rings in it last year but only drove it 3 times since. U think it needs a rebuild?? Also is it worth it to do myself?? When I pulled the turbo apart it was really clean and seemed in great condition.
...any imputs anyone??? thanks ill post pics later thanks

have you done something with the corner lights or are they stock? I can tell the headlights are aftermarket (or retrofit)

Update...I found the problem I hope! The Aeromotive fitting is faulty. I removed the pan and the return line and connected them off the car and did a leak test and it leaks out of the 90* fitting! at least it is not a difficult fix but I only drove it once since it was installed so it kinda sux. I'm going to see if they have warantee's on their products. I took some pics too.

I even got accord r33's downpipe from his accord thanks eric! haha

This is the oil issue I am having...there is usually a little more oil than this when i pop my hood...

Take that oil pan out and post up a pic if you can.
What size is your turbo feed line? - Too much oil pressure into the turbo will cause the oil to be forced past the rings.

Also turbos shouldn't be left idleing for 20mins, especially recently rebuild ones.
I get oil residue on the inlet of my turbo, Not alot, but it is noticeable after about 1000kms of driving.

Edit: you beat my post lol. Can't really see the leak from those pics - Is it just the picture or do the threads look flatened in the last pic of the sump?

Yea my new turbo came with a note also stating not to let the car sit idle for more than 5 mins for the first 1000km

                  Btw -3 line is OK
