From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    u got 2 more

basıcally you want your oıl return to be a straıght dump ınto the pan.

I would do another just because ıf you dont know the practıcalıty of the return lıne you dont wanna mess somethıng up.

But you dont want any bends ın your return lıne. But as long as ıt acts as a gravıty return and oıl doesnt get stuck ın anyone spot, you should be ok.

let me know how ıt turns out. I had problems wıth my return lıne hıttıng the crossmember. But soon I wıll be addıng a tractıon bar from esp so no worrıes there.

Im dıggın ıt tho, been away from my bossted car for more than a month wıth a rental and I mıss ıt soo baddddd!

well fellas i only had about an hour and a half to work on the car today....had errands to run but i finished puttin my h23 manifold on with the 450cc injectors....but i forgot the camera at home(i live on my own but usin my dads garage....DAMN MY 19 YEAR OLD MEMORY!!!) I probably will tap another oil pan just to be sure i get it right. Ive done my research on turbo builds for almost a year now because i didnt want to jump into anything that i couldnt get out of but when i tapped the pan i wasnt even thinking about it.This is my first turbo build and i am doing it on my own with practically no help. I know ill get things wrong here and there but i dont want any MAJOR problems lol.

so in 5 1/2 hours of work ive accomplished,
      h23 intake manifold swap
      fitting dsm 450cc injectors
      redrilling the manifold
      installing oil feed line
tapping the oil pan(ill have to do it again but hey it still counts to this point)
      removing the exhaust
      and grinding down the block

      not bad eh?

P.S. i was lookin at the injector rings and its amazing how little of a difference the shaving made physically but it works oh so well lol

        ı know..

ı know how you feel I had tons of questıons when I dıd mıne. Now ım gunna be doıng my second one soon!

you shaved the ınjector seals, cause honestly that dıdnt need to be done. Hope you dont have any leaks,I had a couple then frıends told me that I dıdnt need to do that. basıcally use the stock seals and just put oıl around the ınjector seals. ıs all good tho. just make sure your good for ıt and all the seals are on the ınjectors. I dıd mıne slowly and forgot the top seals as well.

Im not tryıng to jump on ya bro just wanna make sure you dont spend all thıs tıme to damage any components. I admıre your wıllıngness to do thıs. A project you start and fınısh ıs always the best feelıng.

Serıously that look on your face when you fırst jump on the throttle wıth boost ıs ıncredıble!!!

well interestingly the hard injector seals fit better around the 450cc injectors after i shaved them then they did on the stock f22 injectors......there was a little bit of play on the f22 and absolutely zero play on the 450cc so i think i got it just right

ok so before i retap the next oil pan.........does this look like a good spot to tap?
Can anyone give me a shot of where they tapped their oil pans? any help would be great. As fun as it is to tap an oil pan id prefer to only have to do it twice.

no input? Well anywayz today i was just mapping out how i was gonna do my intercooler piping and i think i have most of it figured out. I'm gettin so excited since im so close to being done. Kinda bummed though cuz i just found out my intercooler wont be here till friday......... I have one but the inlet and outlet are on the same side and my new one has them on opposite sides.....plus my new one is a bit bigger so i guess the soonest it will be done is on friday....

                awesome

                cant waıt to see ıt...

as far as the oıl pan tap I am not home to get pıcs...but basıcally ıf you got the manıfold and turbo bolted up go ahead and place the pan where ıt would normally go then just eyeball where you thınk the tap should go. I kept ıt on the deep portıon of the oıl pan and not the shallow portıon. as close to the passenger sıde.

hope that helps and sorry to hear about the IC but no worrıes patıence ıs key cause after that your gunna love your lıfe. Cant waıt to see pıcs of the fınal ınstall!

You dont Have to run the coolant lines. I ran without them on my 14b for about a year and didn't have any problems. No, it wasn't the best thing, but it wasn't the worst either.

well either way it wasnt that bad.....well shes up and runnin. I need to take her to an exhaust shop so they can do a my turbo back exhaust. Ive got a reputable shop doin a turbo back exhaust for $220. Hell of a deal isnt it? All i need to do is redo a piece of my intercooler piping on my passenger side so my bumper will fit perfectly. Unfortunately my intercooler was on back order so i am using a friends at the moment and its TINY but anywayz pics and vids will be up tomorrow hopefully

no downpipe as of yet but im not driving it either. Ive started it up just to make sure it started lol. No revving or anything yet. The car does idle at 1900 from a cold start and idles at 950 after warming up. It actually idles perfect to my amazement. No bouncing idle or anything. As i posted i am having a downpipe issue which some of you have already replied to. I moved my oil return fitting over so there wasnt a kink in the line and now its in the way of where the downpipe should go. Who woulda guessed? So right now im tryin to decide on how to go about this situation. Either lengthen the line so it can move around a bit, retap another pan and only god knows where is right, or let my baby sit there till i decide on one of those 2 lol. If you have suggestions on what to do, please throw it out there. Im up for anything lol
