Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Wideband o2 setup/logging

Ive been browsing around for the past couple days for wideband o2 stuff.
Decided for my next mod to be actually tuning the car. My question(s) is, could I just purchase the innovate bosch wideband sensor (not the lc-1). Install it permanently and use that as my only o2 sensor?

Also will I be able to log that wideband signal using lets say hondalog or hulog (www.moates.net)?

No you do need the LC-1. The 02 sensor by itself will not work. That is why the LC-1 and all the other quality wideband controller/lambda cables are $$$.

If you want to be a cheapass, buy this
      http://14point7.com/JAW/JAW.htm

Either way you look at it, you NEED the controller, not just the sensor.

There was a thread on here a wile back on the JAW. Did the guy ever get it up and running? I never caught the end results.

On the cheap the price looks good but how do they hold up?

Their's a huge thread at homemadeturbo.com about it. The hardest part is getting it to log with freelog I guess. No complaints yet.

            http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/i...?topic=78036.0

I might buy it because it seems like it's tons easier to carry around from car to car.

Ghost, heres the thread you were thinking of

Also, hulog/hondalog are just usb cables for datalogging to your computer. It doesnt matter which one you use.

Sigh, gonna be 400 dollars poorer and I still need to get a ecu :/. Bright side is I can tune the good damn h22, dislikes being under 2k rpms (eats my gas) and the IACV hates me for some reason. Totally seems worth it though, I was tinkering with the idea of getting it tuned by someone but $450 on top of the price of all the hondata crap is gonna run me around a $1k. Always liked 1/2 price shopping...

You don't need hondata. Use Crome Pro. Only $150 with the same features of Hondata.

                      I recommend you get this
                      http://www.xenocron.com/catalog/diye...age-p-238.html

You would still need a gauge if you really want it and a chip burner if you don't want to have the ostrich in your car at all times.

You can have everything you need for around $700 from xenocron.com

Oh, shoulda specified. I was planning on using crome. I was just saying a Local tuning shop does some pretty kick ass tuning with hondata (www.kingmotorsports.com).

Thanks for the link though I didn't see that you could add stuff to make a packaged deal like that when I was browsing earlier.

Doing tuning yourself seems like the best way to truly understand how to modify a car. Im sure im going to have many more questions. I'm glad cb7tuner has a few DIY tuners such as yourself d112crzy that actually post useful info
