Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    ok i was thinking i could like hook up my laptop to the datalogger and maybe find some of that softwre they used in the fast and the furious
    so like right after a 150 shot of NOS it starts flashing 'Danger to Manifold' and I'm like 'Shut-up!'


    anybody know if this exists?

          ....pointless and a waste of time when a gauge works just as well. How I see it you would have to wire some sort of sensor into the tank such as the run flat systems inside the newer car tires/or some sort of pressure switch for bottle pressure/capacity and crap. Pointless unless you feel like doing thw work. Just dl some fake software off the internet.

            lol im not just talkin about nos

            my VAFC died, and they are 350, im getting a chipped p28 and i ahve a laptop and an indash lcd not doin anything.

            basically i just want it to perform the duites of (as far as monitoring) as the VAFC

            pressure, RPM's, Throttle, oil pressure stuff liek that, maybe a warning if levels drop below what they should like oil pressure or fuel pressure.... nothing is impossible so ideas guys!

              learn to program yourself? lol. I posted something like this kinda not really in a ECU post. Basically making a 2 chip config ecu with burner it alternates between chips (one in use) while you program the other. Parts for the chips and to make the burner would be cheap, just gotta know something about circuit boards and programming. I dont believe it would be that hard to make a HUD, programming the voltage inputs for your regular gauges and wideband o2 to read as a analog output like RPM's and A/f ratio. Again you would need to know how to programming and something about microprocessors/controllers.

              Discussed the dual chip built in ECU burner for real time(or at least without removing any chips) burning with a electrical engineer said it be relatively straight forward just make sure you have a spare ecu in case

                  you have a chipped ecu, a rom editing software that has data log capabilities, or a data logging program, laptop and a wide band, at minimum.

                  connect the laptop to the ecu. your ecu is already connected to everything else. you just log the info with your data logging program.

                  the trick is, you gota know what the information is and how to read it, then how to make any use of it.
