Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

im currently doing a dsm turbo. and have a h22 that i could swap in if i needed. this is all for the learning process of tuning my car myself. thanx to this thread i know what hardware i need. but question is what chipped ecu should i get so i could possible use on both engines??? or is that even possible, just tryna prevent having to buy 2 ecu's...
If you're confident enough to chip the ecu then you could easily do the vtec conversion which is easier than socketing an ecu. In that case buy one of the non-vtec ecu's like the p06 for the dsm setup. If you go the h22 route you can just add vtec. This will save in the beginning and the end since p28's are expensive and there are some cases when you can't get the ecu to stop checking for the vtec solenoid.

so will the civic ecu plug up to my factory ecu harnesses on my 90 accord f22a4? And would it run my vehicle just like the stock ecu until i chipped it.

You just asked that in another thread. The answer is yes and the second is not well.

Start reading. You have a LONG way to go.

A burner is just that, a burner. It does not make changes on the fly or at any other time except when you have a chip in it.

The datalogging cable you got is ONLY to transfer data from the ecu to the laptop. That's it. If you want to make changes on the fly, you need to buy an ostrich.
                  what about hondata s300?

What, like plug it in and have it run your car perfectly? No. The point of it is that it is TUNABLE. It allows you to tune the ECU to your setup.

No I know I have to tune it... Im asking do you have to do any soldering or anything like that? Like what is shown at the start of this forum. Or can it just be plugged in then you start tuning?
Also does the hondata s300 work for our cars it says OBD1 but I cant find anyone that has a cb7 with stock f22 using it.
