Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

ok.. one last question.. is there a place where i can read up on all this ... like is there a chip buring post or book for DUMMIES ?? LOL
I am asking all this because there are very little to no good tuners close to where i live.... or at least none that i know of... so i would be very cost effective for me to just learn this.
Start reading. You have a LONG way to go.
A burner is just that, a burner. It does not make changes on the fly or at any other time except when you have a chip in it.
The datalogging cable you got is ONLY to transfer data from the ecu to the laptop. That's it. If you want to make changes on the fly, you need to buy an ostrich.Last edited by d112crzy; 01-31-2008, 10:01 PM.

Is this one of xenocrons kits?
I would honestly buy a PLX m300 or something else with a gauge already included.
Innovate has great products, but are a little too advanced for the beginner user. That thing had me confused when I first installed one in a customers car.
If you want to datalog from the wideband controller, then you will need a serial to usb converter. If not, then you'll be fine datalogging from the ecu.
