Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

p13 or chipped and tuned p28

What is better for my h22 a I currently have a chipped p28 but would a p13 be better for my engine I'm not to hip on ecu's

The P13 is made for the h22, tuned from the factory. The P28 is not made for the H22, and the chip is at best tuned by someone in one or two hours on a dyno... at worst, by someone on the street, or worse yet, a generic tune not even made for the specific engine.

For a stock or near-stock H22, the P13 is always best, even if it runs a bit rich from the factory.
After heavy mods, a properly tuned P28, P72, or full aftermarket engine management system tuned by a knowledgeable professional is the way to go.

        This.

If your actually getting the car tuned by a local reputable person who many can vouch for then I'd get the p28. If there's ever a chance that you wouldn't be able to get it tuned(even the smallest amount) don't buy it.

If you have a good tune, the P28 will be fine. I have a P28 myself (tuned long ago by MRX)
The P13 is "right" for a near-stock engine, though.

If you haven't had your P28 tuned specifically for your engine, it'd be best to have that done. A generic tune can cause damage if it's not right for your engine.

With the P13, you wouldn't have to worry if it's right or not.

The p28 tuned right will make more power and get better fuel mileage then the p13 even on the same mildy modded motor, and if you plan on cams the p13 won't work either..

Click it.... You know you wanna
