Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

A month and it's still not running! has he done any testing on the ECU, or at least tried another? Did you buy the ECU from this guy or someone else? first p06 was from him. now he has both my p14's.

Do you know if the J1 jumper is installed? i remember him cutting it on the p06 not sure about my p14s.

Is the CEL on? it was yes

Don't even get me started on that board shyte that he fed you. This guy sounds like bad news!

It makes me wonder if he's trying to learn how to tune on your car...

There was only one man that I ever trusted to touch my ECU... MRX. He's one of our moderators, and a buddy of mine. The man is meticulous as hell. I know him, I know his work, I know many people that he's tuned, and I watched him in action. I watched as he chipped my ECU, and he would undo and re-do a solder point if it wasn't absolutely 100% perfect! That is the type of person you want working on your ECU.

It's a shame he moved across the country. He used to be in the Orlando area... probably close enough for you to take a weekend to let him tune your car (and he was CHEAP!)

You can get a chip from phearable.net for around 20 bucks.. i think
just send them the specs of your engine and they send you a chip with a basemap

i can vouch for them because when i bought a chipped ecu from them, they included a free basemap for my motor and it was a SOLID basemap

        xenocron also has good reputation.

so getting a basemap from those two places would have probably taken 2 days and you'd know for sure that you are getting a good basemap.

as for your tuner, I still think the problem is that he tried to burn an Accord map when he should have created a Civic map and then copied and pasted P39 values in it... like I mentioned above. although it is kinda hard to understand what exactly the problem is.. so idk. just tell your tuner to take a hike
