    H22 tansmission gear correction

Hello, I noticed last week that after I chipped and tuned (crome) that my speedo is not the same as it used to be, it is close , but probably 4-5 mph off at 90 mph.

I am assuming that this is because I do not have the gear ratio correction in crome setup, and it thinks I am running a b16 transmission (map is on a p30 base)

I was wondering of anyone has corrected this and if so what I should change my correction too.

PS: If this is a stupid question and all I have to do is put the h22 gear ratio's in instead sorry.

    Nevermind first question

After getting into pgmfi a little i found it adjusts timing based on gear, so if anyone has different values I would like to know, but anyway.

On to the most basic question, I guess how can I correct my speedo in crome from the b16 transmission to the h22a transmission.

idk what could be causing it, your speed sensor (as far as i know) has nothing to do with your tune. it is a mechanical piece that is inserted into the tranny and talks to the cluster directly. also, 4-5 mph off at 90 is not a big deal. speedometers can have a variation of around 10% and still be considered normal.

        Gear ratio

I believe the issue lies in the gear ratio's

If you are traveling at 4000 rpm in 2nd gear (as seen by vss)

you are going at different speeds if you are using an h22 transmission vs that of a b16 because of the different gear ratio.

it is simular to what happens when you put different sized tires on your car. The vss still reads the same, but you are traveling at a different speed and your speedo will be wrong.

In crome I am based off of a p30 ecu map (which has a b16 transmission)
So my ecu thinks I am running a b16 transmission and the speedo is calculating my speed accordingly.

That is what I am hoping to be able to correct.

the gear ratio setup in crome is for the fuel and ignition gear corrections. I don't think that it controls the signal the gauge gets.

            Yes

If you read my second post I say that Gear correction is not what I am looking for in crome for that reason.

That is why I changed my question to how to fix the speedo instead of gear correction.

Either way thanks for verifying what I thought.

Just to let you guys know I found a gear correction excell file that has it listed for both f22 and for h22 so I will have to try my tune again later.

If you need the threshold values for the by gear correction, you can hit up Jose (crzy.tuning@gmail.com). If you ask him he would probably give you the thresh hold values for your transmission.

I have the gear correction values

I have the correct values for the m2b4 transmission (I think)

But I don't know why my speedo changed. Oh well I guess

by the way my values are

                77
                117
                158
                212

Let me know if those are wrong, but I believe they are right
