Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Set your full throttle launch to whatever you set your rev limiter to, unless you figure out how to set it up properly. I had mine at 7800 because I didn't touch it and for some reason my7k rev limiter didn't work. I read on pgmfi that im not the only one that has had this problem.

I'm not familiar with this at all but, I have some question.

A few of my concerns are about the Electric Load Detector. I thought that usdm cars didnt have this, since some do the only function is to tell the user that the ecu maybe at risk of - + electric loads right?

      BTW any updates?

I'm going to get valve springs and put in a 272 cam and tune it on the dyno when I have a good basemap and some $$. This might not happen untill sometime this summer though. you have a eld in your fuse box. its function is to see how much current your car is using so that the alternator knows how much to put out. my new fuse box might go in tonight.

^ahhh. wow that would suck to disable it and have the alternator over do its job burn itself out. thanks for the response

you can disable it, but I have no idea how the system functions after you do.

I appreciate the offer but I want to buy one, I have quite a few people wanting me to tune their cars. before I get into that, I want to learn a little more and I want a portable wideband and rtp. so I need one permanently.

yea you don't need a ostrich, but I sure would make tuning a lot easier.
