    prelude intake?

when the f22 was in my car it had an AEM sri. after the h22 swap, the intake still fits fine.

    question is......

can i use a prelude intake also? i dont want too spend $300 on the AEM V2 for a prelude and it not fucking fit. worse case scenario, i buy the AEM cai for the cb.
i was originally intending too buy the carbon fiber wale tail, but thats just too big. maybe after i delete my ABS.

new thought, would it be better too get this for a 94-97 accord?

yeah it fits, i just bought a 3 inch intake from a guy. All you would have to do is maybe enlarge the hole you cut out in the fender for your accord intake.

yeah i'm trying to install this currently on my accord. I had a CAI previously installed, but enlarging the hole is a PITA, i've went through 3 reinforced cutoff wheels already and it barely fits. And now, since i did the H23 TB/Plenum swap, i still need to get a 3>2.5 inch or 3> 2.75 inch coupler to connect the intake to the TB. b/c a 3>3 inch coupler is too big. I just hope it'll fit. It's a grey 3 inch AEM intake, that's from the 92-96 preludes right?

yeah that intake is the V2 intake, i've just got a grey AEM intake 3" in diameter. it doesn't have that extra tube over it like the v2 does and it goes ALL the way down to the bumper. As for the coupler, i went to Autozone tonight, and got a 3>2.5 inch one but it wasn't made of silicone, it was some type of HARD ass rubber, so it wouldn't even budge when i wanted to get it over the bead rolled end on the intake. So i'm going to try Pep Boys tomorrow, they've got more aftermarket stuff.

my accord AEM cold Air 2.5 inch (blue) and the prelude 3 inch (grey)

i think the v2 intake is designed around the "anti reversion" theory like the Hytech headers. its been proven too work.

Definitely a TIGHT fit, but i managed to squeeze in the 3 inch intake. It even cleared the ABS module, but barely. all i have to say is HOLY SHIT there's a ton of power now. It even changed the sound of the engine since it breathes better. I had to do a lot of fender modification, since its 3 inches instead of 2.5. Basically enlarging the hole. I'll post pics up later tonight

here's some shots i took of how it fits in my accord. I've got ABS, an Optima batt., and a strut bar and it still fit, i'm amazed.

A 3>2.5 inch silicone reinforced coupler, i got from FULL RACE, a tuner shop...cost me 27 bucks but was the only option for me, crappy autozone ones wouldn't even fit over othe end of the intake.

There's the filter, ignore my hacked up cutting job, it was a REALLY tight fit for the filter, I even managed to put the inner fender liner back in the same spot w/ no modifications

thats how you do it!! rep for keeping your word on your pictures. it is safe too say a prelude intake WILL work on a CB7 with VERY LITTLE too no modifications.

do you think it's bad if my transmission kickdown cable is kinked a little like that? I mean it was either over the pipe and streched or before the pipe and kinked a little bit. I dont haven any shifting issues at all in my auto so i'm thinking its okay. what are your thoughts?
